Until further notice, Northern United coaches, players and families will follow New York state health department guidelines and precautions related to COVID19.
We realize not everyone agrees with these guidelines but we are obligated to follow them in order to keep our program running so we expect everyone's cooperation.
What exactly does this mean?
-Will wear masks at all times.
-Record attendance at each event, in case contact tracing is needed.
-Should check in with their coach upon arrival to have their temperature taken. If a player arrives late, he or she should notify the coach so the temperature can be taken. Any player with a temperature of 100 degrees or more will be sent home.
-Should wear a mask at all times (except while taking a drink). If they need a mask break, they should let their coach know.
-Should bring their own ball
-Should not share shin guards, water bottles or any other personal equipment.
-High fives, fist bumps and hugging are unfortunately not permitted.
-Should keep their children home if they are running a fever or otherwise feel ill.
-Should encourage their children to clean their hands before and after practice.
-Should social distance while watching practice/games and should wear a mask when they can't social distance. Spectators for spring league are limited to two per player, as per league rules.
-Should notify their coach if their child develops potential COVID-related symptoms.
-If a venue has stricter guidelines than the above, then all must follow the facility's requirements.
